Devin can now use your ChatGPT plan to pay for GPT model usage

Cognition lets you connect a personal ChatGPT plan (Go, Plus or Pro) to Devin. You still need a paid Devin plan.
On October 9, Cognition (the company behind Devin, a coding agent) announced you can connect a personal ChatGPT Go, Plus or Pro plan so GPT model usage inside Devin draws from your ChatGPT plan's quota instead of Devin's.
How it works
- In Devin, go to Settings > Connections, choose "Continue with ChatGPT," sign in, grant permission and turn on the "Use your ChatGPT plan" switch.
- It only covers the GPT portion: the other models Devin uses are still billed against your Devin quota.
- You still need a paid Devin plan (Pro, Max or Teams). Connecting ChatGPT doesn't grant access on its own, and it isn't available on the free plan. Pro is mentioned at $20 a month and Max at $200 a month.
- There is no shared team-wide ChatGPT plan: one person's plan is never used for another person's sessions.
It runs through OpenAI's "Sign in with ChatGPT" program, which one source says lists 12 apps.
Who it's for
If you already pay for ChatGPT and also use Devin to build sites or automations without writing all the code yourself, your quota may go further. If you don't use Devin, nothing changes.
