On October 12, Meta introduced Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full, built so an AI agent can handle longer tasks for you, like reviewing a lease or an insurance claim. It isn't free: using it in the Muse app requires a paid subscription.
What happened.
On October 12, Meta's Superintelligence Lab released two new models: Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full.
According to TechCrunch, it is Meta's first attempt at a frontier model, meaning one of the most capable the company has built.
What it's for, in plain terms. Meta says they are built for agent tasks: from making sense of a lease or an insurance claim to helping build an app. One point the company stresses is "active memory": the ability to retain and use what you've told it over time. Meta says it scores higher than rival models on its memory test; those are the company's own results, not an independent check.
What it costs.
- For people building with the API: Muse Wonder costs $4 per million input tokens and $20 per million output tokens, according to TechCrunch. That is roughly in line with GPT-6 Sol or Opus 5.5.
- Muse Wonder Full is only available to Muse Code subscribers and is not served through the API.
- For Muse app users: according to CNBC, access to the model requires a monthly plan of $20 or $100. The app itself is free, with paid plans for more usage.
When it reaches the app. Meta says Muse Wonder will soon power experiences in Muse and will roll out first to subscribers.
What it means for you. If you already pay for an AI assistant, you now have another option to compare. If you only use free tools, this model is not part of your plan for now.
