Meta tests new AI apps: an outfit helper using your own clothes and a virtual pet game

Meta launched Style Sketch and Waddle World as experiments, both available in only a few countries, with personal data collection per Waddle World's app listing. Its personal agent Muse also arrived in Singapore.
Meta keeps launching small AI apps to see which ones stick, and two came out this week.
- Style Sketch: according to Social Media Today, it uses AI to generate outfit combinations from the clothes you already own. It integrates with Instagram to extract clothing items from images the user has shared, and users can also add items manually. According to analyst Matt Navarra, cited by that outlet, it is only available in Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand.
- Waddle World: it is an AI Tamagotchi-style app set in a 16-bit pixel world where you pick and raise a virtual pet. Meta launched it in the Philippines on iOS and Android. The sources differ on who it is aimed at: TechCrunch says its listing states it is not a chatbot and is flagged as suitable for users over 18, while Social Media Today describes it as an app aimed at kids.
Personal data: according to the app's iOS listing, cited by Social Media Today, Waddle World collects personal data, including location, contact info and user ID. That outlet also notes that Style Sketch builds a clothing inventory for each user, and calls both apps troubling because of ongoing issues with AI tools making potentially dangerous recommendations.
Social Media Today adds that Meta also has other apps in testing, such as Pocket (minigames), Vibes (a feed of AI-generated videos) and StoryKit (bedtime stories). According to that outlet, Mark Zuckerberg said AI is helping his teams speed up product development and that he expects it to become easier to ship new apps.
Also: a weekly roundup reports that Meta's personal agent Muse arrived in Singapore on October 28, after the US, Canada and Japan. It works on iOS, Android and muse.ai, with AI glasses support coming soon.
Why it matters for a small business: these are tests, not finished products, and they are not available in every country. If you sell clothing or create social content, keep an eye on them without changing your operation yet.
